Moon knight story
Moon Knight is a Marvel Comics superhero who was created by Doug Moench and Don Perlin. He first appeared in Werewolf by Night #32 in 1975. Moon Knight’s real name is Marc Spector, a former US Marine turned mercenary who becomes the avatar of the Egyptian god Khonshu.
The story of Moon Knight begins when Marc Spector and his team of mercenaries are hired by a mysterious figure named Bushman to raid an archaeological site in Egypt. During the raid, Marc is betrayed by Bushman and left for dead in the desert. As he lay dying, Marc is visited by the spirit of Khonshu, who offers him a second chance at life in exchange for becoming his avatar on Earth.
Marc Spector is resurrected and returns to the United States, where he creates the persona of Moon Knight to fight crime and protect the innocent. Moon Knight wears a white costume with a cowl and cape and wields various weapons, including crescent-shaped throwing blades called “moon discs.”
Moon Knight’s first major foe is Bushman, who had also returned to the United States and was involved in criminal activities. Moon Knight defeats Bushman and starts working with the police to take down other criminals.
One of Moon Knight’s most notable storylines is “The Fist of Khonshu,” which sees him teaming up with the X-Men to stop a cult that is trying to resurrect the ancient Egyptian god Seth. Moon Knight’s connection to Khonshu plays a major role in this storyline, as he is able to draw upon the god’s power to defeat Seth and his followers.
Moon Knight has also had several ongoing series and has been a member of various superhero teams, including the Avengers and the Secret Avengers. In more recent comics, Moon Knight has been depicted as struggling with mental illness, with multiple personalities that reflect different aspects of his psyche.
